Course Description:

This course teaches participants to install and configure critical network services, including the BIND DNS server; the DHCP server; and e-mail service through the use of sendmail.

Learning Objectives:

After completing this course, students will be able to:

• Manage system services
• Implement and configure a Domain Name Service (DNS) server with BIND
• Manage a DNS domain
• Configure a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server
• Configure basic sendmail features
• Configure forwarding and other advanced sendmail features
• Use Postfix instead of sendmail

Prerequisites:

• LAMPTECH's Linux Essentials, or equivalent knowledge and experience

Required Software:

• Linux (Fedora)
